Next, we travel to Botswana to experience the wonders of the Okavango Delta. Located in the northern part of the country, the Okavango Delta is a massive seasonal floodplain that teems with wildlife. From elephants wading through the water to lechwe antelope grazing on the banks, the delta is a paradise for nature lovers. Taking a boat ride through the canals is one of the best ways to experience the rich biodiversity of the area.
4. Victoria Falls, Zambia/Zimbabwe
One of the most iconic waterfalls in the world, Victoria Falls straddles the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe. With a height of 1708 meters, it is one of the tallest waterfalls on Earth. The Zambezi River powers this magnificent cascade, creating a spectacle that is truly awe-inspiring. Located on the Atlantic coast of South Africa, Namibia is known for its stunning landscapes, including the famous Namib Desert. If you're looking for tropical vibes, don't miss the chance to visit Zanzibar. This archipelago off the coast of Tanzania boasts white sandy beaches and a phenomenal coastline. One of my favorite places in Tanzania is the Serengeti, home to the Great Migration where thousands of wildebeest make a circular loop between Tanzania and Kenya's Maasai Mara every year.
